Russell de la Porte is a qualified English teacher and trainer – among others, 120-hour Premier TEFL course (TEFL.org) and Digital Language Trainer (linguaid) – with over 20 years' teaching experience. During this time, he has taught learners from all over the world, both onsite and online. He has taught from primary school children to pensioners, at all levels, from beginner to advanced, or from levels A1 to C2.
In addition to being an English trainer, Russell has produced and presented copyediting and proofreading, and writing courses, workshops and training onsite and online. Currently, he offers the 'Freelance and In-house Copyediting and Proofreading Course' from the WriteArt website.
While working as an English trainer, Russell has also worked as an English copyeditor and proofreader. In 2004, he founded WriteArt, an English copyediting, proofreading, training, publishing production, and consulting firm.
With WriteArt, Russell has copyedited various types of texts, including website content, magazine copy; journal, magazine and newspaper articles; Master's theses and PhD dissertations. He has also written and rewritten content of various types.
Additionally, Russell has authored and produced books and consulted with self-publishers. He has held temporary and permanent positions with publishing houses and a publishing production company.
Russell has been in business for many years, and much of this time has been spent in managerial positions. Because of this, he has a good general knowledge of business and would be happy to include the world of business in your classes.
